So... Things are really looking up.

It's that time of year again every summer I seem to discover that someone has been using work from this site without permission... It's a sad state of affairs when you discover that there are still some people incapable of an original thought and feel that taking work without permission is ok.

It is NOT ok to take my work without express permission first!

As a professional illustrator for some years now I have found it essential to use a solicitor (and would advise all my fellow creatives to use one as well). My solicitor is on hand to provide the paperwork necessary to prosecute anyone caught doing the following without my express permission:

Copying my work

Tracing my work

Selling my work

Passing my work off as your own

My work maybe used however without permission in ONE exception, as a feature promoting either myself Simon Corry or Mylaststar. Examples of such use would be on a site like www.itsnicethat.com/ or www.design-milk.com/... Even when used in such a way the intellectual property of all work remains copyright Simon Corry.

I always used to feel terrible making a point of this but it seems in this industry sadly you cannot afford to be shy about such matters and so I must take a firm stand against anyone who would try to damage my intellectual property.

As ever though I am fully aware that it is only a handful of miscreants who are responsible for ruining everyone else's enjoyment and the majority of us are just here to play by the rules.

my name is Simon Corry and i'm a freelance illustrator and web designer from the United Kingdom.

i specialize in children's / kids illustration and my work has ranged from promotional and educational material to website and multimedia design (CD/DVD & animation).
